At the show right now in San Francisco at DNA Lounge, Greyarea just played, wasn't expected the harder sound from the group, seems they are going for a broader audience since they are mainly known as a dance act, they fit the bill, next up is Front 242, looking forward to it as a long time fan, we'll see how it goes.

Mon, November 7, 2005 - 12:58 PMGreat show, but there were a bunch of assholes there.
Including the idiot who threw the bottle at Richard. -

Re: Front 242 DNA Lounge San Francisco (Right now)
Mon, November 7, 2005 - 2:44 PMthere were a bunch of idiots there and it was stupid for someone to throw the bottle at Richard... but... i thought that was incredibly stupid when the band went off stage to go pout. they're a fucking band that's been around for ages and they can't handle a bottle? They were performing for about three hundred people who spent 25-30 bucks a pop. Have security kick the guy out, buck up and keep performing. -

Re: Front 242 DNA Lounge San Francisco (Right now)
Mon, November 7, 2005 - 3:38 PMI was watching the show from the upper balcony. Before the band left the stage (1 or 2 songs before perhaps) I watched the bouncer haul away some guy. Anyone know what he did?
I was very surprised by the crowd but I was lucky in only having to deal with one idiot. Set him straight and sent him on his way. -

Re: Front 242 DNA Lounge San Francisco (Right now)
Mon, November 7, 2005 - 3:41 PMim actually not sure what he did.. he may have thrown the bottle.. i know who you are talking about because I helped travis pull him out. I got a nice solid punch to the face when he started flailing. -

Re: Front 242 DNA Lounge San Francisco (Right now)
Mon, November 7, 2005 - 3:44 PMWell crap. I hope your all right.
I am puzzled as to why people feel it's o.k. to behave like assholes and try to ruin things for others. Like the bottle throwing. Why would someone think that was an o.k. thing to do? -

Tue, November 8, 2005 - 6:39 PMYa, that asshole was chocking out people in the front, including assault Kyron 5 who was down front. I was on balcony front left watching teh whole thing go down. When asked to step away he swung on security. Took 4 guys including Matt.OD to deal with the prick.

Re: Front 242 DNA Lounge San Francisco (Right now)
Tue, November 8, 2005 - 6:37 PMWhen I was talking with them after, that wasn't the first bottle. I saw the first one, which happened right when he came out. Beaned him in the stomache and he played on.
2nd one rattled him pretty good.
That was the breaking point.
He was bloodywell pissed be SF is usually a friendly city they look forward to playing, but for whatever reasons peopel have been a bit moody and angry lately....

Re: Front 242 DNA Lounge San Francisco (Right now)
Mon, November 7, 2005 - 8:47 PMGreat show this time around. They were a little too Prodigy during their last SF appearance.
The drummer was awesome too - total human drum machine and possibly, better than cEvin Key!!
